The formula is as follows: about 40 registered attendees meet with 2 guest speakers – usually one scholar and one practitioner – who broach a strategic topic for the philanthropic community from complementary angles.
Each keynote speaker is given 20 minutes for an initial presentation, and 50 minutes are allowed for discussion, so that participants have sufficient time to ask questions to and share ideas with speakers. The seminar language is either French or English. There are 4 to 5 seminars per year, each organized during lunch breaks, between 12:30 and 2 p.m. They are held at the ESSEC Executive Education campus in Paris La Défense, and moderated by Anne-Claire Pache and Arthur Gautier.
All seminars are recorded and can be podcasted in the Philanthropy Collection of ESSEC's iTunes U channel.
