Scientific committee

The scientific committee acts as a “think tank” for the chair. It is composed of scholars and experts in the field of philanthropy, including European and international members. Its role is to advise the chair on potential research agendas and current trends.

To date, the chair's scientific committee consists of:

  • Francis Charhon, Executive Director of Fondation de France, President of Centre Français des Fondations
  • Peter Frumkin, Professor of Public Affairs at University of Texas at Austin, Director of RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service
  • Johanna Mair, Academic Editor of Stanford Social Innovation Review, Hewlett Scholar - Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society at Stanford University, and Associate Professor at IESE Business School
  • Serge Raicher, Chairman of European Venture Philanthropy Association
