Susan van Schie

Susan van Schie is a Research Fellow at the ESSEC chair in Philanthropy.

She holds a Master of Science in Social and Business Psychology (2009) and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Occupational Safety and Health Management (2012) from University of Zurich. In 2013, she received her Ph.D. in Work and Organizational Psychology at the Department of Management, Technology, and Economics of ETH Zurich.

Her research interests include voluntary work and corporate volunteering, the alignment of individual motivation with organizational needs, and humanitarian work psychology.

Before joining the chair, Dr. van Schie gained work experience as research and consulting assistant in various research institutes and as management assistant in the banking sector.
