Corporate philanthropy
______

Corporate philanthropy, considered to be marginal practice for a long time, has now become a norm for companies in France and in most Western countries. Seen as a communication tool or an expression of corporate culture, it is also a precursor of corporate social responsibility (CSR) policies, as it consists in supporting general interest projects that create value for the firm's stakeholders. This project aims to give better understanding of a phenomenon that lies halfway between the market and society.

How can it be defined? What are its characteristics, its drivers, its impact ? Why and how has it become so widespread ? How has it become institutionalized and professionalized ? What are the drivers, forms and consequences of the philanthropic commitment of employees in companies ?
