Anne-Claire Pache held the Chair from 2011 to 2023, and remains an affiliated professor in the Philanthropy Chair. She currently holds the ESSEC Social Innovation Chair and is Director of Strategy and Community Involvement at ESSEC Business School.
A member of ESSEC's permanent teaching staff in the Corporate Law and Environment Department, Anne-Claire Pache was also Deputy Director General of ESSEC in charge of initial training from 2014 to 2017.
A graduate of ESSEC (1994), Anne-Claire holds a Master in Non Profit Management from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government (2001). She completed a PhD in Organizational Behavior at INSEAD (2009).
Her research focuses on organisations with a social purpose, exploring in particular their growth processes and their relationships with their institutional environments. She has published several books on these issues, as well as articles in leading international management journals (Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Leadership Quarterly, etc.).
Before joining ESSEC, she helped set up the Unis-Cité association, which launched and developed the idea of voluntary civil service in France.
